You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Currently being touted that Klopp could potentially be our next manager if our owners go for it.

Personally I would happily sacrifice 7/8m of the transfer budget to pull in such a name.

if you had the choice reduced player budget and new manager

or

big transfer budget

Don't think playing it long every 30 seconds to carroll helps his ankle or knee, constantly jumping and landing. I'm sure he wouldn't get as injured as much with a different style of play.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
For me it's arguable whether Carroll is a good player or not, has shown some flashes but in truth for the majority he actually moves around slower than Nolan and that's quite some feat.

Even if you did rate him as a good player what bloody good is he to anyone when he cant even stay on the pitch for 50% of the games in any season.

You may well even then point to bad luck with the injuries but they will take further tole on him and render him even more less vaiuable down the road in terms of playing for us or even as a sellable asset.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
I don't think that we should have to sacrifice some of our transfer-budget to get someone new in and I'm sure that we wouldn't do that...

The choice is obvious for me: it's time for a change and there are plenty of options and a fair few of them have already been linked with our job...

Look at our dire, depressing performances generally over the past 4 or 5 months now on-top of the absolute shit that was served-up last season and it's simply not what we want to see... Again, most of the football has been woeful over the past 4 years and I'm quite frankly sick of it...

We're playing fucking awful stuff and not getting results either... I don't expect things to get any better in our remaining six games and I predict very few points...

I think it's quite a simple decision to be made that it's time for a change and it must be pretty obvious to the board that we don't want him here...

The manager was pretty much given an ultimatum to play better, more expansive football this season and - apart from the first three months - that hasn't been delivered...

We've played dog shit stuff for a good 4 or 5 months now with hardly any entertainment at all... The manager has reverted back to type again and the regular inclusion of his pal Nolan doesn't help matters... He can't blame injuries either because we've had a strong squad of players to select from most weeks...

I can't be sure either way if he'll stay or go but I sure hope that he does because I cannot stomach the thought of him for another season like most of our fans who attend games regularly...

It's up to our owners... Hope they make the right choice...

No idea but Carroll is a fucking good player, so I would guess at yes

Cornish - Because we only have Cole fit so had he no kicked up a fuss then he would have got his chances. He didn't which is a real shame as he look half decent in the bits was saw.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Why would zarate be playing he totally failed at Qpr when he had a lot of motivation to succeed and prove Sam wrong but he didn't.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Something else I was pondering. If it was Benitez, Klopp, the Marseille bloke or whoever else is mentioned, would anyone all of them want to keep Carroll?

I wouldn't trust Bfs with a bigger budget so would have to be the other option.

Zarate is injured now, but if he wasn't, and was back with us, he'd be playing instead of Cole...you would think!

I always expect an injury crises tbh

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
If the injury problems up front could have been foretold, I am sure Zarate wouldn't have been sent on loan.

Not sure anyone would have guessed Sakho, Valencia and Carroll (well maybe in Carroll's case) would have all missed significant chunks of time since Christmas, after there being no injuries at all from September-December.

Klopp might not want 7/8m less to spend

Forget Zarate...'

He's had plenty of chances to deliver on his early potential...

He's never been happy anywhere...Trouble maker...???

Move on...!!!

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Yep we are going to disagree.

I'm happy with the fact that every time Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan step on the pitch, it shows the Manager made a mistake in sending him on loan to another Premiership club.

I'll still be feeling the same when it happens on Sunday too.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Sam has little or no interest in Zarate, I would have thought that is pretty obvious.

Not sure were going to agree here. He thought he should be playing when we were in good form and spat the dummy out and said he would show us all at QPR where he's been a bit shit.

But yes, he would have been a handy option to have and whilst we can blame BFS for playing Nolan and Cole, I think there was little else he could do with Zarate.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
I haven't a clue why Zarate has fucked things up so much in the last few months. I know he's come back recently injured but obviously can't play for us this season due to the loan conditions. I'd like to know what's going on in his head because he showed earlier in the season that he is a class player well capable of playing in the PL. Is he just taking the piss?

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Croe - I don't think he has. I would say our Manager has made himself to look like a berk as we're now without our best strikers and on a pathetic run of results.

whufcroe 3:45 Wed Apr 15
Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Personally I would be looking to sign another first choice striker so we have 4 and then if Zarate wants to make it 5 I would have no problem with that.

He done ok before spitting his dummy out of the pram....

He has made himself look a bit of a berk to be fair

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Yeah he really showed us at QPR that Zarate didn't he"

He actually showed more than enough at the club who employs him, Croe son.
